CLASS DESCRIPTION – MUSICAL THEATRE (Ages 7-11)
This high energy class includes singing, acting and Broadway style dancing for beginners to more experienced students. The class is team taught by
two instructors - a Musical Director/Acting Coach and a Choreographer. Age appropriate Broadway scripts and scores from musicals such as ALICE IN WONDERLAND, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTOR, MARY POPPINS and PETER PAN are used to teach stage movement, vocal placement and production while dancing and acting technique. The course ends with a classroom presentation for family and friends of song, dance and dialogue scenes.
