CLASS DESCRIPTION – MUSICAL THEATRE (Ages 7-11)
This high energy class includes singing, acting and Broadway style dancing for beginners to more experienced students. The class is team taught by two instructors - a Musical Director/Vocal Coach and a Choreographer/Acting Coach. Age appropriate Broadway scripts and scores from musicals such as THE WIZARD OF OZ, ALICE IN WONDERLAND, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, WICKED, WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY and PETER PAN are used to teach stage movement, vocal placement and production and acting technique. The course ends with a classroom presentation of song, dance and dialogue scenes for family and friends.

CLASS DESCRIPTION – MUSICAL THEATRE (Ages 12 & Up)
Two instructors, a Musical Director/Vocal Coach and a Choreographer/Acting Coach, divide this class into voice, dance and acting instruction. Broadway style combinations, turns and dance breaks are taught. Voice instruction includes diction, harmony, ear training, phrasing, breath control, music dynamics, lyric interpretation and vocal production while dancing. Scripts from Broadway shows such as WICKED, LEGALLY BLONDE, HAIRSPRAY, SEUSSICAL, ANNIE and DROWSY CHAPERONE are used to teach performance techniques. A classroom presentation with song, dance and dialogue scenes is presented to family and friends on the last day of the course.
