CLASS DESCRIPTION – MUSICAL THEATRE (Ages 7-11)
This high energy class includes singing, acting and Broadway style dancing for beginners to more experienced students. The class is team taught by two instructors - a Musical Director/Acting Coach and a Choreographer. Age appropriate Broadway scripts and scores from musicals such as ALICE IN WONDERLAND, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, WIZARD OF OZ, YOU’RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN, WICKED, MARY POPPINS and PETER PAN are used to teach stage movement, vocal production while dancing along with acting technique. The course ends with a classroom presentation of song and dance for family and friends.
